Zack Jacobs and I leased 6000 square feet of office space in a building located at 3200 Santa Monica Boulevard, several blocks from the Santa Monica Promenade. We were one of the first high-tech companies to move to the west side of LA at a time when most of the industry’s largest companies were headquartered either in Hollywood or Burbank. It didn’t take long for others to discover the many advantages of being close to the beach. Within a year, we were surrounded by a constellation of some of show business's biggest names.

The potential of video over the Internet gave rise to a myriad of new companies with fresh financing and absolutely no business experience. DPR was there to capture all the “crazies” looking to cash in on the new technology. Many businesses lasted a few months, then disappeared. It was a wild time.
